APPENDIX A SYNOPSIS OF THE PANEL DISCUSSIONS

The material presented in this appendix has been transcribed by D. Gupta and F. R. Bacher and edited by H. Huff, based on the material recorded on the audio tapes. The taping, however, was not of high quality. Because it was difficult to identify all the personnel and their affiliations, the names of the persons asking questions and giving replies are omitted. The material in this appendix did not undergo the review process and is presented for information only. Two panel discussions were held, one moderated by Howard Huff of SEMA-TECH, the other moderated by Murray Bullis of SEMI and Dinesh Gupta of Mitsubishi Silicon America.
