Tandem mass spectrometry is a versatile and sensitive strategyfor characterizing the structures of phytochemicals. Inparticular, the differentiation of isomeric flavonoids bytandem mass spectrometry is the focus of this chapter. Metalcomplexation offers a degree of "tunability" which enhancesthe identification of flavonoids.
