The conjugate forced convection heat transfer in a tube with obstruction is investigated numerically. The numerical investigation is carried out for the ranges of Reynolds numbers (Re) and thermal conductivity ratios (k{sub}r) from 100 to 600 and from 0.03 to 10.0, respectively, at a Prandtl number (Pr) of 7.56. Due to the obstruction, recirculation starts, which reduces the heat transfer rate. Past the obstruction tip, reversal of the direction of heat transfer occurs due to recirculation. Decreased value of k{sub}r, reduces the rate of heat transfer. The total heat transfer from the tube is almost independent of Re, at a value of k{sub}r = 0.03. With the increase of Re, the average temperature of the inside wall decreases at first, and then it increases.
