AN APPROACH TO CIPS FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

摘要

In this paper an approach to the gradual development and implementation of the Computer Integrated Production System (CIPS) into a large-scale industrial plant is presented. Basic principles of project organization strategy are borrowed from software engineering. More precisely, the educational program of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and their software-process maturity framework are utilized as a model for practical development of the control system. Main contributions of the paper refer to the realization of the control system software with emphasis on particular project phases and corresponding project activities.
