摘要

Calibration of measuring instrument by its comparison with reference standard is discussed. It is shown that the main factors of successful calibration are the proportion (ratio) of the errors of the measuring instrument being calibrated and those of the reference standard, and the estimation accuracy of the reference standard errors. Formulas are obtained for the case of a zero systematic errors of both compared devices, which provide reliable estimation of the comparison results.
