The paper presents the research results of physicochemical characteristics,adsorption kinetics and value of adsorption capacity with respect to water vapors of the composite adsorbent"CaCl2-aluminum oxide".Sorbent synthesized by centrifugal thermal activation of hydrargillite and its subsequent hydration in mild conditions was used as a carrier.It was shown that,in the studied range of change in the CaCl2 content of the adsorbent(8.6-15.5% mass.),a sample containing 13.8% mass,of CaCl2 was the most promising when used as a desiccant.This sample was characterized by static capacitance that was higher than 20 g/l00 g,by quite high dynamic capacitance of 5.8 g/l00 cm~3 and good mechanical strength of 4.9 MPa.
