PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water vapor adsorbent having not only high adsorptivity in a medium humidity range but also having excellent adsorptivity which can be regenerated at a low temperature of 40-60°C as a dehumidifying agent for heat accumulation or for batch type desiccant air-conditioning.SOLUTION: A water vapor adsorbent, which has a hygroscopic salt carried on a granulated body, having macro pores, of amorphous aluminum silicate, has excellent water vapor adsorptivity of around 30 wt.% by regeneration at 40°C and at relative humidity of 60%, around 40 wt.% by regeneration at 60°C and at relative humidity of 60%, and around 50 wt.% by regeneration at 100°C and at relative humidity of 60%, and can be used as an adsorbent for heat accumulation or for batch type desiccant air-conditioning.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
