The performance ratio of an ensemble of 6500 UK photovoltaic installations is reported on a monthly basis using microgeneration data collected via www.microgen-database.org.uk and global horizontal irradiance measurements from the UK Royal Meteorological Office. An adaptive interpolation algorithm is used to calculate irradiance for each installation in each calendar month. The mean monthly performance ratio for the UK ensemble is calculated to be 84% and the sum yearly value is 87%. Average minimum winter performance ratio is 72% and average peak summer performance ratio is 90%.
