The model of determination of the mechanical properties of a filled epoxy-based polymer, involving the interphase layer and filler characteristics, is proposed. A series of experimental findings enabled the evaluation of the elastic modulus and thickness of the interphase layer, regarding the filler concentration for a composite material based on the DER-330 epoxy and A-380 silicon dioxide powder.
