The paper reviews the work of the European Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Thematic Networkbefore describing in detail an on-going work package to develop a database of expertise in universitychemistry teaching. The aims and structure of the database, which is hosted on the STARFISHplatform at the University of Amsterdam, are discussed and potential benefits to the wider academiccommunity considered.
