摘要

Blended learning is seen as a catalyst to the recent advances in education. Hence, it is important toconduct studies which examine the effectiveness of blended learning among ESL tertiary levelstudents. This case study examined the blended learning experience of 20 ESL students who weretaking an ESL writing course at MARA University of Technology using a Blended Learning AcademicWriting Module (BL-AWM). The class combined six hours face-to-face classroom learning (face-tofacemode) and two hours online learning using BL-AWM via a Learning Management System for theduration of two months. The results were derived from the triangulation of the data collected from thestudents' online writing tasks, a set of survey questionnaire as well as a focus group interview with theselected respondents. The findings indicate that BL-AWM can be successfully integrated in ESLwriting proficiency course. The module helps the students to be autonomous in learning, enhance theirESL writing ability as well as stimulate their interest to learn writing.
