In recent years university education experienced a deep transformation, which has resulted in achange in the role of teacher and therefore the methodologies used. These changes include (amongothers) the implementation of ICT in all fields of the teaching/learning process. So teachers shouldintegrate into our practice creative and innovative strategies, including ICT.Experimental learning becomes very important when teaching physics, because this methodologyallows students to apply theoretical concepts and to see their practical application.We have introduced virtual practices in the subject of physics of the first course in degrees of life andhealth sciences field. We have analyzed advantages and disadvantages of this methodology as wellas perception of students.We asked students for which kind of practices (virtual or traditional) they found more stimulating andwhich have helped them to better understand the concepts studied in explanatory classes, since theseare two of the main objectives to be achieved with this teaching methodology.
