A STUDY ON AUTOMATED DATA COLLECTION AND DEDUCTION OF ROAD UPDATES USING PUBLIC TENDER NOTICES

摘要

Car navigation systems are widely used and the importance of map updates is highly demanded. On the other hand, it is very difficult to detect the road updates before the actual changes. This paper reports the research on automated data collection and deduction of road updates using public tender notices. In this research, support vector machine method is used to estimate the road updates from the automated collected public tenders from the webs. This research is for estimating the road updates at the public tenders opening periods, this means before the actual changes.
