Fatigues tests for aluminum probes joints

Vehicle's bodies are made from steel, aluminum, composite materials or combination of these materials. If some years ago, the steel was the main material for automotive industry, in the last year's aluminum becomes a presence in automobiles of wagons bodies. Such complex structures like vehicle's bodies are made from parts that are jointed in different ways: welding, riveting, gluing etc. This paper presents a fatigue study performed on aluminum joints probes in Romanian Railway Authority AFER's laboratory.
