In this work, phenolic resins from cashew nut shell liquid were cured by hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA) or by plasma treatment. The crossliked coatings were characterized by thermal analysis, with Thermogravimetry (TG), Derivative Thermogravimetry (DTG) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) techniques, in order to evaluate their thermal stability, as well as understand and optimise the curing process.
