摘要

Mucosa is the innermost layer of the gastrointestinal tract (GI) that is surrounding the lumen and forms a major barrier between the internal and external environment which are constantly exposed to microorganisms. We want to further investigate the interaction between bacteria and mucosa. The aim of this project is to chemically synthesise a number of mucin O-glycan core structures with various α-linked aglycons. These structures will be used for identifying binding structure hits and preparation of microarrays.
