EDM technology has remarkably progressed, and very small surface roughness like a mirror can be obtained by controlling the discharge pulse energy or by using powder mixed working fluids, such as silicon powder mixed fluid or aluminum one [1-4]. Therefore, the finished surface by EDM is expected to be applied as a final metal mold surface in the near future. In this case, the life time of the metal mold and the molding performance depends mainly on the surface characteristics of EDMed surface. In general, the hardness of EDMed surface becomes higher than before machining because heat resolved carbon from kerosene type machining fluid is included into the surface.
