Disability Caused by Occupational Accidents in the Spanish Long-Term Care System

摘要

This study assumes that long-term care may be caused by occupational accidents. We quantify the number of disabled individuals that qualify to receive public funds in the context of the Spanish Long-Term Care System, for those individuals whose need of support is caused by an injury related to working activities. Using data from a Spanish Survey we also estimate the number of workers by age and severity level.
