This work had as an objective to analyze the potential mediating effect of Quality Management Organizational Levels on the connection with Workers Perception about Quality Management and Quality of Work Life as Psychological Variables, namely Job Satisfaction, Organization Based Self-Esteem and Work Related Stress. The possible moderator effect of a demographic variables set on the same connection was also analyzed. The methodology used was of a quantitative nature. The sample comprised 622 people, belonging to organizations operating in the industrial and services sectors. We used four questionnaires being three of them multidimensional and the other one of one-dimensional nature. The psychometric characteristics of the instruments respected the sustained requirements in specialized bibliography. Through the application of hierarchic regression models, it was found that the three Organization Levels for Quality Management (1 - Companies Without a Formal System of Quality Management; 2 - Companies with a Quality Management System Certified in accordance with ISO 9001; 3 - Companies Winners of the Excellence Award of the Portuguese Quality System - PEX/SPQ - a model similar to the European Quality Award created by the European Foundation for Quality Management) have a differentiated mediator effect over the relationship among Perception about Quality Management and the mentioned Quality of Work Life Psychological Variables. It was also noted that demographic variables (Gender, Age, Civil State, Antiquity, Academic Qualifications and Professional Group) have a differentiated moderator effect over the related connections. The set of data is translated into an interpretative model and object of analysis and discussion.
