Selection of Fluorescein-Binding De Novo Proteins with α3β3 Structures

We demonstrate that the two α3β3 de novo proteins can be used as scaffolds for a phage display engineering. Affinity selection for fluorescein gave positive clones from both de novo protein libraries. Such proteins would be candidates for the models of scaffolds for further functionalization.
