Cyclic Tetrapeptides containing N-Isopropylglycine as Histone Deacetylase Inhibitors

In order to control cis/trans configuration of-Phe-Pro-bond in cyclo-(-L-Asu(NHOH)-Aib-L-Phe-D-Pro-), where Asu(NHOH) is 2-aminooctanedioic acid hydroxamic acid, D-Pro was replaced with acyclic imino acid, N-isopropylglycine (~iPrGly) for higher and more specific inhibition of histone deacetylases.
