摘要

Our newly introduced liquid MALDI-based method shows superior performance to previous attempts to produce multiply charged peptides and proteins for MS analysis. It demonstrates excellent analytical sensitivity and low sample consumption similar to ESI but with the advantage of well-known MALDI properties such as easy sample recovery and discrete ionization events. The liquid nature of the samples will allow for a plethora of new applications and provides additional flexibility in designing optimal MALDI sample conditions.
