A total of 570 proteins were identified in rat ocular S9 subcellular fractions and 406 were identified in rabbit. Multiple drug metabolizing enzymes were identified including multiple forms of glutathione S-transferases (Table 1). Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH), amidase/esterase, glutathione transferase (GST), and glucuronasyl transferase (UGT) enzymes were confirmed by formation of metabolites of probe substrates. Future studies will be conducted to dig deeper into the ocular S9 subcellular fraction proteome to try to identify lower expression protein
