The average measurement time was less than 30s, with no sample preparation or method development. Using DSA-TOF, we showed that olive oil has the highest amount of oleic acid. The average response ratio of linoleic acid to oleic acid was 0.18. Using DSA-TOF, we showed that vegetable oil has the highest amount of linoleic acid. The average response ratio of linoleic acid to oleic acid was 1.87. The response ratio of linoleic acid to oleic acid increased with increasing soy based vegetable oil adulteration in olive oil. The adulteration of olive oil with soy based vegetable oil at a level as low as 5 % was detected successfully with DSA-TOF with minimal sample preparation. The average measurement mass accuracy was less than 3 ppm.
