Biothreat pathogens have been identified through the detection of masstags from a multiplexed PCR assay using mass spectrometry with detection limits in 10~1-10~3 cfu/PCR rxn. The use of BioCHAMP-RSP will enable rapid, high-throughput screening for simultaneous detection of bacterial and viral agents.
