1. It was observed that Carbendazim molecular ion had highest response at capillary exit voltage of 80 V and its fragment ion had highest response at capillary exit voltage of 150 V. 2. Using newly developed one step modified Quechers method and centrifuging method, we were able to screen 10-100 ppb of Carbendazim fungicide in orange juice with DSA-TOF with minimal sample preparation. 3. The confirmation of presence of Carbendazim in orange juice was obtained by less than 5 ppm mass measurement accuracy of its molecular and fragment ion. 4. After just centrifuging sample, we were able to screen 10-100 ppb of other fungicides (Thiabendazole and Imazalil) in orange juice with DSA-TOF. 5. The average measurement time was less than 30 s and average mass accuracy was less than 5 ppm. 6. All the measurements performed with DSA-TOF system took less than 30 s. Similar measurements with LC/MS system would take 10-15 minutes. This shows higher throughput of DSA-TOF by a factor of 20-30, in comparison to LC/MS systems.
