#978 High-resolution Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry to Identify Urinary Biomarkers of Autism

摘要

A number of substantial differences in the two sets of averaged chromatograms and mass spectra are apparent. But one of the major challenges when analyzing urinary metabolomic data is the possible interference of non endogenous compounds. For example the end metabolic products of many pharmaceutical drugs are often excreted in urine. Some of the peaks have multiple candidate human metabolites that have the same or nearly identical exact masses. Future work will involve preparing standard solutions of these candidates and performing LC-MS to see which compound has the same elution time.
