摘要

The presence and concentration of pharmaceuticals and personal-care products (PPCPs) in surface water, ground water, and drinking water supplies has received substantial public attention. Accurate assessment of the presence and distribution PPCPs in aquatic systems is predicated on accurate, unbiased determination of these chemicals in environmental samples at ambient concentrations. In this paper, we present results of a study in which we developed a direct injection, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)/tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) method for the determination of 111 human-use PPCPs in filtered-water samples. The method is applicable to groundwater, surface water, and drinking water.
