It was compared the data obtained with (1, 8, 9 anthracenetriol nonpolar matrix) and without matrix, evidence that use matrix for crude oil is necessary, but not asphaltenes analysis. It was possible to observed that the crude oil spectrum contains more peaks that asphaltene spectrum, as expected, confirming the good spectral discrimination. It was possible to observe a clear correlation between crude oil viscosity and compounds of heavy fractions of petroleum.
