摘要

Organic electro-optic (EO) materials show great potential for use in communications devices. Typical organic EO materials are thin films consisting of a nonlinear optical chromophore incorporated in a transparent host polymer, and are fabricated into devices using the methods of silicon photolithography. In addition to the complexity of typical photolithographic processes, the chromophores in guest-host polymeric systems are subject to photodegradation during processing and subsequent application.
