Looking for Black Sheep: Identifying Proteogenomic Outliers

We have created Black Sheep, a simulation framework originally intended for phosphoproteomic outlier detection. It is flexible enough, however, to be applied to any multi-omic dataset, including those featuring different post-translational modifications. We have found Black Sheep to be a useful tool for bolstering confidence in biological outlier analysis. Future directions: create post-processing tools that will enable application of the significance threshold to the original dataset, among others.
