Development of a Robotic Platform for Automated GCMS and LCMS Sample Preparation and Large-scale Plant Metabolomics

A design study was performed, the robotic platform conceptualized and the performance specifications defined based upon desired metabolomics workflows. These specifications were then used to engineer, model and construct a custom robotic platform. Sequential sample processing computer logic was developed, implemented in a modular software platform, tested and compared.
