A novel ion guide with curved electrode pattern consisting of only two printed circuit boards

摘要

Curved electrode pattern on PCB surface can guide and focus ion beam effectively by applying RF and DC voltage. An ion guide by only 2 PCBs is fabricated to improve S/N in a triple quad mass spectrometer. Neutral noise has been eliminated with evidence. Chemical noise can be reduced hopefully by optimize the gas flow pattern.
