MSX-tSIM provided the best sensitivity and high mass accuracy at 140k resolution. A total of 18 out of 20 targeted ions were quantified with CV < 12% (n = 4). MS-PRM and MSX-PRM provided identification and quantification of peptides with high selectivity. The multiplexing capability of the Q Exactive MS was able to fragment and detect MS/MS ions of co-eluting peptides. Applying the multiplexing capabilities reduced detection time required for co-eluting peptides. Therefore, MSX-PRM provided better sensitivity and reproducibility in quantitation for research. A total of 11 out of 20 targeted ions were identified in MS-PRM with CV < 18% (n = 4), while 12 out of 20 targeted ions were identified in MSX-PRM with CV <13% (n = 4).
