The role of Proteasome in Neurodegenerative disease using Proteomics approaches

Neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, are characterized by the formation of plaques which are produced by aggregation of abnormal proteins. The Ubiquitin-Proteasome pathway is recognized as one of the possible routes where abnormal proteins get degraded or recycled.
