The conducted investigations have shown that the nuclear power plant spent nuclear fuel (NPP SNF) reprocessing may be carried in liquefied CO{sub}2 and in freon 134a. 2. It is shown that by using the HNO{sub}3-TBP solutions in supercritical carbon dioxide more than 90% of uranium are recovered from the real RBMK (channel-type high power reactor) and WWER-1000 (water-moderated reactor) SNF as a result of three extraction operations under stoichiometric conditions.
