Loss Calculation and Analysis for High Voltage Direct Current Converter Station

摘要

In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of loss calculation for HVDC converter station, a loss calculation application software is developed using Visual Basic programming language, based on loss calculation models in the IEC Standard. The software has functions of parameter correction and saving, loss calculation and result output. It is applied to calculate converter station loss of HVDC converter stations in the Guizhou-Guangdong system II and change rules of loss values in different operation modes are studied. By this example, the loss calculation software is proved to be accurate, fast, convenient and general, and can also be applied in other HVDC converter stations.
