Consequences of major fires in Metro mean mass death of people and transportation collapse of a town Fires in Metro underground structures and tunnels are characterized by speedy temperature build-up, emission of considerable volumes of toxic combustion products, damage of tunnel structures, interruption of highway running. On the basis of advanced aerospace technology the specialists of NIINT have developed and patented fire fighting technologies by finely atomizated water, which surpass the well-known analogues, and several operating facilities have been created.
