This presentation will identify the ways change requests come about and methods for identifying, assessing impact, and prioritization of changes. This will include how to manage customer's expectations and explain how change will impact the project. Given that changes to a project typically result in disruption, what methods can be used to assess and communicate the impact and outcome of change? Some of the methods for assessing impact include operational feasibility, economic feasibility, schedule feasibility, and technological feasibility. Once assessment is completed, the impact of change must be applied to the project and presented to the project owner(s) for decision. Methods for presenting this information will be offered. Proven, simple, effective procedures and forms will be presented based upon the presenters experience with suggestions as to how to go about implementing a change management function within an organization.
