Transcervical embryoscopy is a procedure well established in the past. However, due to increased fetal loss rate, it was merely abandoned1. Using modem instruments (1.7 mm hysteroscope) we attempted to perform embryoscopy in four cases of increased fetal nuchal translucency. It seems that transcervical embryoscopy is able to distinguish the fine anatomic anomalies that are related to genetic syndromes, already recognized via ultrasonography. Thus, it is clear that embryoscopy may help the diagnostic process by verifying the initial findings. To the same direction, embryoscopy may contribute in recognizing anomalies that may have already led to death in-utero. It is, however, imperative to perform further studies investigating embryoscopy's efficiency and contribution to the prenatal diagnostic process.
