Similarities of high and low levels of production with respect to assignments and solution techniques

This paper highlights similarities between higher and lower levels of production, focusing on assignments and solution techniques. Various production levels are examined with respect to several aspects (complexity of relations, large number of parameters) and typical generic tasks ("classical" modelling, problem solving, optimization and submodel decomposition). For each issue, the paper high-lights that due to similarities, the same classes of methods based on artificial neural networks (ANN) can be used for different levels of production, outlining a uniform approach.
