Fractography of SN-1 silicon nitride within IEA subtask 7 research

摘要

Within the IEA Subtask 7 international round robin on machining and strength of silicon nitride, the fractography study was carried out to assess fractography standard among the participants. Ten specimens of SN- 1 silicon nitride after flexural test, chose for the round robin, were placed on a SEM sample holder, which was sent to participants one after another. Fractography data from laboratories in the United States, Germany, Sweden, Belgium and Japan 5 were compiled and analyzed to assess fractography standard for advanced structural materials.
