摘要

This study examined users' past experience with media selection reasons to delineate their effects on future media use intentions. Results suggest that frequency of using instant messaging (IM) was associated with enjoyment of use and also for the purpose of social interactions. Users responding high to the eight media selection reasons tended to continue their use of IM in general, and for both work/coursework and social interactions in the future.
