PLGA-Based Microencapsulation of PEGylated Insulin for Diabetes Treatment

摘要

A novel sustained release formulation, consisting of PEGylated human insulin encapsulated within a biodegradable PLGA matrix, is in development for use as a once-weekly basal insulin supplement for the treatment of diabetes. The formulation has high drug loading, negligible initial burst and a near zero-order release profile.
