Formation of a poly(ethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, 2:1) [poly(EA -MMA)] sustained release (SR) matrix was investigated in glass beads (GB) and diclofenac sodium (DS) tablets. Granules and tablets were stored under various conditions. Changes in matrix characteristics upon various processing and storage conditions indicated complex polymer behaviour within the matrix systems.
