Roll parallelism in continuous lines by means of optical gyroscopes

Unlike all conventional techniques, the described new tool for the roll parallelism control is exceptionally fast and provides highest level of precision as well as reliable information on the corrective steps to be carried out. The expected benefits due to a better and easier control of the rolls position are: reduction of product down-grading or strip breakage risk, possibility to process a wider product range, increase of the processing speed.
