摘要

This presentation focuses on the description and application of two control and measurement systems featuring telemetric and Holter data collection and transmission the operation which contribute to the reduction in various complications during treatment and long bones elongation. One of the fundamental questions related to limb lengthening procedure is how to ensure that the course of action stimulates as much as possible the process of building and mineralization the new bone tissue. This covers a number of other issues related to appliance settings like: the dynamics of the distraction applied, the correct configuration of the apparatus appliance and primary settings. In order to make an accurate assessment of the way at which a limb is being lengthened, one has to, among other things, analyze the degree of strain or forces in its selected elements. This analysis is being performed in conjunction with a medical assessment of the lengthening process [1, 4]. This is attainable by the open nature of long-term treatment and controlling the operation of the Ilizarov stabilizer in the apparatus-treated limb interface.
