The system has an implantable sensor for producing an electrical signal, a signal processing and amplifying unit (40,50,80) in an electronic path for processing an audio signal, an implantable electromechanical output signal transducer (20) and a unit (60) for supplying power to the implanted system. A measurement unit (13) detects and processes the sensor signal electronically and a wireless telemetry unit (110) also on the implant side transmits the processed signal out to an external display and/or evaluation unit (112).
