Concurrent engineering (CE) has inspired the research in the area of design decomposition, which facilitates the concurrency of product lifecycle functions and reduces the complexity of design problem. The decomposition-based design on the other hand necessitates various integration efforts for recombining the decomposed design problems. We have proposed a multi-agent system (MAS) framework, ANet-CoDE [1, 2], for the integrated product and process modeling. This paper describes our experiences in applying it to the integrated product design, by mainly focusing on models integration, solutions integration and tools integration.
