Extended Defects in Silicon: an Old and Mew Story

摘要

The nature and generation of thermal processing induced extended lattice defects in Czochralski silicon is reviewed in relation with oxygen precipitation and patterned film structures on the wafer surface. An attempt is also made to present quantitative models to describe the nucleation and growth of extended defects.
